The Most Fake News Spread on YouTube. More than 80 data-testing organizations worldwide claim that the video-sharing site YouTube has now become one of the main means of spreading fake information. That’s why companies have taken steps to curb YouTube abusers. They are constantly pressuring YouTube to take immediate action against those videos.

The companies have sent an open letter to Susan Wojcicki, chief executive of the Google-owned platform. The letter said it was one of the main causes of online confusion and misinformation worldwide.

The letter was signed by US-based PolitiFact, The Washington Post Fact Checker, Poynter Mediawise, Africa’s Czech and India’s Fact Crescendo, as well as Factly organizations, including Indonesia, Israel and Turkey.

The letter states that these fact-checking agencies have been monitoring the spread of false content online. According to them, YouTube has become one of the main sources of misinformation online worldwide. Which has now become a cause of global concern.

The companies say the video-sharing site contains some health-related misinformation that has led cancer patients to become interested in unscientific treatments. In addition, the platform has published fake information about the Corona epidemic and its vaccines in the last two years using different languages. Which in turn prompted a large number of people around the world not to use the corona vaccine.

In order to solve this problem, the companies have advised YouTube to increase its transparency and strengthen its anti-fake information policy. They also called on YouTube to make health videos of expert researchers more accessible to the public.
