No rumors, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is really coming. After years of speculation and rumors, Rockstar Games has finally announced its much-anticipated fans. The game maker has confirmed that the construction work of ‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ is underway.
One of the most successful games in the gaming market is Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5). Apparently, the game is the most lucrative entertainment product of all time, according to the BBC. Gaming fans have been waiting for its sequel since 2013.
The makers of Rockstar Game said in a statement that they are “delighted to confirm that the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series is in full swing.”
The role-playing action-adventure game GTA 5 came on the market in 2013. The background is set in Los Santos, a fictional city modeled on Los Angeles in the United States.
GTA 5 was so popular with gamers worldwide that the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles again this year. With this, GTA 5 is going to make its debut in three generations of gaming consoles.
Rockstar has been updating the online version of the game regularly since GTA 5 hit the market. In the middle of 2016, the manufacturer has released ‘Red Dead Redemption 2‘. The game also garnered critical acclaim.
The announcement of a new game in the GTA series is positive news for Rockstar. The company has been plagued by criticism from GTA fans in recent months. Gamers were furious with the errors in the ‘remastered’ version of the older games in the series.
However, Rockstar Games did not reveal the details of the new installment of the GTA series. Rockstar did not provide any information on when the game will be released and what the background will be like. However, the idea of those involved in this industry will come to the market by 2024 or 2025 ‘Grand Theft Auto 6’.
In a statement, Rockstar said: “Despite the unexpected longevity of the GTA 5, we know that many of you wanted something new in the Grand Theft Auto series. Despite obstacles, we can barely imagine, each of them has taken advantage of the opportunity.”
