Windows 11 can be installed on most older computers, according to a new announcement from Microsoft.
Last June, Microsoft released a list of the minimum requirements for a computer for a new operating system. The software maker said the computer must have at least an eighth-generation Intel processor. However, it basically applies to automatic updates from Windows 10.
Microsoft is now saying that users can install Windows 11 on a computer with a lower configuration if they want. But it has to be done at its own risk. Because Microsoft will not make sure whether the driver software or everything will work properly. Apart from that, the company will not suggest installing Windows 11 in this way, nor will it mention it in the advertisement. Users may not even get regular software updates if they install Windows 11 on a computer with a relatively low configuration, they said.
Whatever he is, at least one thing is clear in Microsoft’s new announcement. The idea that Windows 11 could not be installed on millions of computers was created earlier, but Microsoft has moved away from that. However, to get Windows 11, the user has to download the ISO file from Microsoft’s website and install Windows 11. Many users may not want to bother.
Microsoft is expected to provide more details soon. For now, a computer with two or more cores of 1 GHz 64-bit processor, 4 GB of RAM, and at least 64 GB of storage space on the hard disk can be installed on Windows 11.
