Samsung will bring the foldable smartphone “mainstream.” The company has recently promised to publish its income statement. The South Korean technology giant also said that it will soon bring more foldable smartphones.

Samsung’s smartphone business is not needed for a third income. They have also raised the issue of publishing the income account. According to a report by Engadget, Samsung’s revenue rose 20% to 5.57 billion. In addition, the company’s operating profit came to 1,256 million dollars.

On the other hand, Samsung’s revenue in the mobile sector declined in the previous quarter due to the chip crisis and factory closures due to the Covid-19. Even then, Samsung’s total revenue has been good. Their chip business has played a significant role in the company’s income this quarter. More than one-third of the total income came from this sector, and more than half of the profit came from here.

Growth in Samsung’s consumer electronics segment has also been good. Sales of premium TVs and household items have played a role in this.

In the mobile business context, Samsung commented, “By bringing the foldable class into the mainstream,” they will strengthen their lead in the premium [mobile] segment.

Engadget says in this context, we may see a cheap foldable phone shortly.

Samsung has announced that it will be working with new camera technology under the screen. The company also mentioned that the new foldable is coming soon. The company is scheduled to announce the Z Flip and Z Fold 2 at an event on August 11.
